Camping

Well we left for camping on Saturday. On Friday before we left lightning struck a tree on our camp site in the picture you can see what it did to the tree. I am glad we were not camping that night. We had so much fun setting up and Marissa playing in the dirt. Saturday night was pretty cold sleeping in the tent. We ended up all in the same bed so we could stay worm. Then the fun began. We woke up to a cold morning and we called my parents to see what the weather was to be like. They said 50s and 30s at night. Marissa was mad and tired from that night and we just decided to go home and camp some other time which was a good idea because today Marissa work up with a fever and she slept half the day. She is felling a little better so we are hoping to go to the zoo tomarrow.

For Marissa's big #4 we decided to go down to the Georgia Aquarium and we also spent some time at the Centennial Park at the playground. We wish we could be home with a big party but hey theres always next year... without any further delay here are some pictures..

Happy Valentine's Day

Well Marissa had a very good Valentines day. She got a lot of valentines from her classmates and then they had a party for all the special needs kids. And Marissa meet a new friend that is hearing impaired. He had a cochlear implant but it didn't work. He is the boy siting by Marissa eating a cooking and the first picture they are playing in the kitchen. They also had an interpreter there too so that was really nice. Marissa had a blast. The only problem is that when she goes to school she never wants to leave. I hope she keeps that attitude when she is a teenager. But we couldn't stay ther very long because she had a doctors appointment. She is 3' 51/2" tall and healthy.

Jason is teaching the Viking scream because the Packers are not going to the Super Bowl.

This is the most snow that we have gotten since we moved here. After the rain took half the snow away. Marissa still had fun with the snow that was left.

Marissa if you can not tell LOVES the computer. We have to start setting a timer otherwise when we want the computer she get a attitude. Pretty soon she will be smarter on the computer than I am.

We got close to 5 inches of snow last night and rain in the morning... We are finally expecting more winter weather in the next couple days so we will see what happens.

Well there isn't anything important going on. Next week Thursday the 24th I go back down to Ft. Benning for my 2nd Appointment no updates just waiting:p. Marissa is still enjoying school and we are just watching time fly.... Sorry its been a while

Well yesterday was our first day back to work. Marissa was more than willing to go back to school. Me and Jason on the other hand weren't. Jason had a pretty hectic day mine was not as busy as his. Today was Marissa Audiology appointment. She had both hearing test done. One with her hearing aid and one with out. The one without her hearing aids is inconclusive because she didn't understand that if she hears the beep to put a block in the bucket. And the test with her hearing aids I think is inconclusive because she only has one working hearing aid. Now we just have to wait until we get the referral to get her hearing aid fixed. Hopefully that will happen SOON.

Last day of Freedom

Well today was Marissa's day back from Christmas Vacation.. Last night she was so excited she couldnt sleep. Tina and I both go back to work on Monday so reality is back :( Tina and I spent some time at an indoor shooting range (My Dream Date) TIna was a little nervous at first but she had no problem shooting the guy target right in the wedding tackle... All in all good way to send each other off back into the world of working...

Well for all of you who are envious of our wonderful weather. Dodie and Ernie brought some cold weather and snow. It is pretty brisk at about 35 degrees and snow blowing. We doubt any will stick but we will see when we wake up.....

Well for all of our family and friends who are stuck in the cold weather with lots of snow we decided to grill out with some burgers and sausages in the sunny 60 degree weather. Dodie and Ernie are loving the weather and it is a nice break from the much needed rain. I would have posted some pictures but I figured that would be too mean. Enjoy the snow :<)

Hello Again,

Tina's parents came down the day after Christmas and on Thursday we went to the Mall of Georgia for a little bumming around then we went to the Lake Lanier Chirstmas lights it was 6.25 miles of lights with a live Nativity scene Marissa wanted to go pet the baby sheep(I think they frown upon that).. Looked real good and at the end they had a mini carnival which Marissa loved. So without any further delay here are some pictures...

A little about us.
Jason.. I am currently A Soldier in the U.S. Army stationed at 5th Ranger Training Battalion located in Dahlonega, GA. I spent 1 year deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom approximatley 20 miles SouthEast of Baghdad. My hobbies include enjoying my wonderful family, Firearms, all of our pets, and anything outdoors.
Tina.. My hobbies are cross stitch and I love doing puzzles. I was a stay at home mom for three years until our daughter started school know I work part time at Papa Johns.
Marissa.. She is our wonderful 3 year old daughter who was born with severe hearing loss. She is enrolled in Pre-K going part time for her first year and her knowledge of ASL (American Sign Language) is constantly growing she knows and signs almost 400 words and is working on her alphabet.

Our Family.. We enjoy the quiet town of Dahlonega and have been living here for almost a year. We have 2 Dogs... 1) Desiree is a 7 year old Brindle Boxer. 2) Rocky is a 1 year old Doberman mix. We also have one Cat and a couple of Oscar Fish. We spend most of our time hanging out at home and playing lots of board games with Marissa. We go to a local Independant Baptist Church, and Tina is now a football widow and is excited for the off season so I dont yell at the t.v. screen anymore., which happens a lot being a Viking fan.
